A glimpse into an indie AI product launch
It was a rainy Tuesday.. 😆 jk. It was actually a weekend, and that’s when I usually start working on a fresh new idea. And I really liked the idea of Humanfest because of the interactive nature of it. What was important for me was to also do something that was brand spanking new and hadn’t been done before.
Introducing HumanFest
As we all know, AI is evolving at an unprecedented pace and soon we won’t be able to tell the difference between what’s real and what’s fake. So, as a social experiment, I built a chat where you get to talk to strangers (think chat roulette), but the trick is that you don’t know if you’re chatting to a human stranger or an AI-powered bot.
Using AI and LLMs to scrape sites
Although web scraping has long been a popular technique for gathering data from websites, it has never been without its share of difficulties, including navigating intricate architecture and dealing with site modifications. With different degrees of success, programmers have been automating this process for years using technologies like Puppeteer. Advanced language models, like GPT-4, have, however, brought about a new method of addressing web scraping that not only overcomes these problems but also allows us to be more imaginative with our output.
Game Dev
I’ve always been fascinated by the power of code and the endless possibilities it offers for creating and building things. But despite my love for software, I’ve always been a bit hesitant to venture into the world of game development. It’s a field that requires a unique set of skills and knowledge, and I wasn’t sure if I was up to the challenge.
Back to taking photos, again
I’ve always enjoyed taking and editing photos. Ever since I was a kid, I always had this fascination with technology – and cameras were a big part of it. With their many knobs and dials, the clicking and snapping sounds of the shutter, with their ability to freeze time and create memories – these devices seemed packed with endless creative opportunities.
